Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated General Practitioner (GP) to join our team at Medical center from United Kingdom. As a GP at our medical centre, you will provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care who are currently based United Kingdom. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, contributing to the health and well-being of our local community. Candidates should be based from United Kingdom

Pre-requisites

  • Qualified GP with fellowship transferable to Australia
  • We are able to support the ~6 month process of the fellowship transfer as they are working through this
  • Not level 1 or 2 supervision
  • Willing to work 4-5 days/week

Responsibilities (Candidates from United Kingdom): 

  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality medical care to patients, including conducting consultations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Medical Assessments: Perform thorough medical assessments, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic tests, to evaluate patient conditions and make accurate diagnoses.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement effective treatment plans, incorporating medication, lifestyle changes, and referrals to specialists, as necessary.
  • Chronic Disease Management: Manage patients with chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, by monitoring their conditions, adjusting treatment plans, and providing education and support.
  • Preventive Care: Promote preventive healthcare by offering vaccinations, health screenings, and counselling on lifestyle modifications to enhance patients' overall well-being and prevent future illnesses.
  • Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient visits, diagnoses, treatments, and other relevant information in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaboration and Referrals: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as specialists, nurses, and allied health practitioners, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care. Make appropriate referrals when necessary.
  • Continual Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices through continuous learning, attending conferences, workshops, and engaging in professional development activities.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards, including maintaining patient confidentiality, informed consent, and practicing within the scope of your qualifications and expertise.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to empower them to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare.
