Job Description

We are looking for qualified Dentists from United Kingdom who can diagnose and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, periodontium and related oral structures. Dentists from United Kingdom should be able to examine patients to determine the nature of their dental condition, coordinating radiography and other diagnostic procedures. Dentists from United Kingdom should provides appropriate advice and alternate treatment programmes to patients and their guardians or carers. When appropriate, refers patients for specialist treatment. Works in an ethical and professional manner.

Pre-requisites

  • Holds an appropriate qualification recognised by the Dental Board of Australia.
  • Has sat for technical and practical exam through the Australian Dental Council exam
  • Holds appropriate registration and provides treatment within their capacity of expertise and within the requirements of the Dental Board of Australia or any other regulatory or statutory body.
  • Has applied for APHRA registration and/or has received APHRA registration

Responsibilities (Candidates from United Kingdom):

  • Establish relationship with patient
  • Gains full dental and medical history by carrying out initial examination & consultation
  • Formulate diagnosis based upon examination of patient
  • Development of treatment plan and advising of alternate treatment options
  • Perform dental treatment within their level of competence and training
  • Develops working relationship with the dental team
  • Confirm financial arrangements with patients. Explain fees
  • Participation in CE and developing professional competence
  • Keeps the clinical records consistent with the statutory requirements of the Dental Board of Australia
  • Maintains the equipment and instruments
  • Responsible for ensuring that treatment is performed in a timely manner and patients are re-appointed
  • Infection control protocols and practices are applied
  • Meets the practice treatment philosophy (PTP)
